How can you get involved?
Do you want to learn more about the issues that will be discussed at the upcoming G8 foreign ministers’ meeting, which Canada will host March 29-30 in Gatineau, Quebec? Do you have some ideas that you would like to contribute?
Here’s your chance to get involved in discussions on G8 global peace and security priorities, covering the key country and regional situations of concern, as well as global issues such as counter-terrorism, nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament, transnational organized crime and peace operations.
You can choose to participate in either the formal or informal discussions on this site or post comments on the G8 Facebook site. Comments posted to the formal eDiscussion will be summarised and circulated to Canada’s senior officials. The informal discussion page and the Facebook wall can also help inform and develop your ideas and get peer feedback. This is a great way to learn about the issues and get prepared to contribute to the formal eDiscussions.
Visit the 2010 G8 Facebook page wall, where you will find links to news stories, videos and general information. You can also start mini-discussions by adding comments directly on the wall.
All of these discussion platforms are designed to give you an opportunity to voice your ideas and opinions on topics relevant to the 2010 G8 Summit.
