Overview

G-8 ministers and senior officials responsible for development cooperation met in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on April 27 and 28, 2010, to lay the foundations on development issues for the Muskoka G-8 Leaders Summit in June 2010. The meeting was hosted by Minister of International Cooperation, Beverley J. Oda.

About the development ministers process

Ministers responsible for international development from France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States as well as representatives of the European Union attended the G-8 Development Ministers Meeting. Minister Oda also traveled to G-8 countries in Europe the week of February 22 as part of preparatory work for the Development Ministers Meeting.
